PROGRAMS OFFERED
These classes are for children ages 3 to 5 years old.
3 year old: AM: Tuesday & Thursday 9:00-11:30 am
4 year old AM: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00-11:30am
4 year old PM Enrichment Class: M/onday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 12:30-3:00 pm
Registration Begins in January for currently enrolled students and February for general public
Registration Fee: $100 non-refundable -(applied to school provided tote bag and snack fee)
TUITION RATES:
3 year olds-two days/week: $120/month
4 year olds-three days/week morning class: $150/month
4 year olds-four days/week afternoon enrichment class: $210/month
Our Philosophy
The philosophy of Sonshine Christian Preschool is to provide children with a developmentally appropriate and positive learning environment that is Christian based. Your child will experience a peaceful, respectful, and caring classroom where they can develop socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically; through exploration activities and open ended questions. Your child will acquire the foundation needed for successful social interaction and future school experiences.
Curriculum: Our curriculum includes calendar and weather; free choice play; interest centers such as math, science, open-ended art, puzzles, books; and bi-monthly chapel time. Circle time includes music, dance, fingerplays, and flannelboard stories and faith connection stories. We utilize monthly units of study that encourage the children to experiment, explore and develop skills at their own ability level. We cover the following skills and concepts: letter and number awareness, following directions, sequencing, self help skills, language and social skills, and pre-writing skills.
Enrichment Program: This program is for children 4 and 5 years old that will be going to kindergarten the following year. Four consecutive days of daily attendance will give the children the gift of TIME-time to grow, time to explore emerging concepts and time to reinforce growing skills. By using Literacy awareness, Phonics and Print enriched language techniques; we will help your child to be prepared to go to kindergarten. In this well balanced program, the children will enjoy themselves and have fun while learning
This four day program is a wonderful opportunity for:
- Children who are eager for more experiences
- Summer and Fall birthday five-year-olds
- Children who may just need more time and opportunity to enhance their development
- Additional focus on language and phonics, science or math and extended literacy activities.
Toilet Trained: Yes, child must be independent in using the bathroom
Facilities (classrooms, gymnasiums, etc.): a large, bright classroom, large motor room for indoor play, fenced outdoor playground.

Class Size: maximum of 20 per class
Accreditation: DCFS licensed
Additional Information/Notes: We provide convenient drive-up pick-up, where we bring your child from the school to your car. We schedule two field trips a year, one in fall and one in spring. Additionally, parent participation is encouraged by signing up as a classroom helper or as a classroom story reader.
