Welcome to a fun filled February!

We are taking the whole month to learn about some of our community helpers.

Finding out what a veterinarian does, how long it takes to mail a letter and what you need to know to be a firefighter are just a few of the things we will be discovering. We even have some special guest speakers!

Our Bible stories this month are:

David and Goliath found in 1 Samuel chapter 17

&

Zacchaeus found in Luke chapter 19

We would love for you to join us in chapel and experience the story with your child!

Skills we are working on this month:

• Math: counting up to 30 and estimation
• Writing: letters “Zz”, “Yy”, “Xx” and “Tt”
• Sounding out basic 2-4 letter words

Dates to Remember:

February 13^th- Valentine’s day party

February 16^th & 17^th- Parent teacher conferences

February 20^th- No school, presidents day

Teacher Tip: As you know, children observe so many things we do! Use this to model the positive behavior you would like to see in your child. Some examples might be “Oops, I made a mistake…that’s okay, I can do it again” or “wow, this is hard but I want to keep trying”. Your child will see how you handle potentially difficult situations and learn how to cope with them by observing your behavior.
